It appears that our very short summer has come to an end. It has been getting cooler each and every day and today we actually had some rain. The leaves are not turning quite yet but the green of summer is short-lived.
I ran to the grocery store today for a few things and on the reader board was a bakery announcement for pumpkin loaf and pumpkin donuts. They even had pumpkin pies freshly made and ready for shoppers who don’t have the inclination to bake. Nothing says fall to me like pumpkin, in any shape or form and I realize that pumpkin ice cream will be appearing soon also. Actually maybe it already has but I am trying to steer clear of that section of the market.
While that looks like fall what really makes me happy are pictures like these:
