Gratitude Day 3

Early fall weather:

Brief rain showers, the kind that is just enough for the plants, but no so much that you feel a need to pull out the rubber boots.

Fog in the morning. What is it about fog…the muffled sounds, the mysterious quality of secret, hidden worlds blanketed by white, the way the trees look so creepy and dark one moment and then just turn out to be normal old trees when the fog lifts.

Afternoon sunshine. Not too hot. Just lovely and bright and warm and with enough heat to hint that the outdoor lounger should have stayed outside a bit longer for one last afternoon nap in nature.
